SunSmart Week : 2012 onwards
The Health Sponsorship Council (HSC), Cancer Society of New Zealand and Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand have jointly decided that 2011 was the last year to run SunSmart Week. Instead of focusing on one particular week all three organisations will run activities from September to April throughout the country.
SunSmart Week has been running for around 15 years and it has helped generate an awareness of the issue of skin cancer in New Zealand. Thank you to all the organisations who have helped make this Week a huge success. We look forward to working with you in the years to come.
Visique SunSmart window display competition
A big thanks to all of the Visique stores around the country who entered the SunSmart window displays competition. It was a difficult decision for the judges to decide the winners, but the winners were…
1st Prize: Visique Shattky Waipukurau Optometrists
2nd Prize: Visique Greerton Optometrists

3rd Prize: Visique O’Hagan Optometrists
While the judges were very impressed with everyone’s displays and show of creativity, the winners were chosen because the judges felt that each of these displays conveyed every component of the Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap message.
Slip into some shade or a shirt
Slop on some broad-spectrum SPF30+ sunscreen
Slap on a hat
Wrap on a pair of sunglasses
