In 2011 the Room 2 students at Wairakei School made this video for our SunSmart schools video competition. This SunSmart message is told through an adaptation of the traditional Maori myth 'Maui and the Sun".

This song was written by Judi Cranston, children’s composer and founder/director of kindyRock.

Aimed at early childhood and young primary school children, it is a fun way to encourage Kiwis to make smart choices this summer. It reminds people to be SunSmart even on a cloudy day and to Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap every day.
